My next book length project is a study of the role of science in so-called soft, or cultural, diplomacy. As I am particularly interested in the role of private, non-governmental organizations and their relationship with the U.S. government, Pugwash is of great interest to me. I have also conducted extensive archival research in the papers of Bentley Glass, who served on the American Pugwash Continuing Committee in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
