Associate Professor Ronald E. Doel

Pugwash Related Projects: Several books in preparation, including on the rise of the physical environmental sciences in the Cold War and the integration of scientists into U.S. foreign policy during the Cold War era. None are 'Pugwash' projects strictly defined.

Research Interests: History of Cold War Science; physical environmental sciences; history of Arctic science and technology; visual narratives of science, nineteenth century to present.

Region of Investigation: North America; Europe; Arctic; global.

Period of Investigation: before 1950, 1951-1960, 1961-1970, 1971-1980
